Our proven three stage Quick Start guarantees a successful outcome by working through a structured list of deliverables to make sure we leave behind a production level documented system.

Additionally, and at no extra cost, we provide a report and action plan which outlines our view of the steps you should consider taking to get more out of SharePoint 2010 and your investment in Microsoft infrastructure solutions.

How It Works

We work through a pre-requisites check list to ensure the success of the Quick Start. In conjunction with your IT staff, we determine what hardware and Microsoft infrastructure is in place. We then work ahead of time to address any issues, for example, any new or additional accounts needed. Our experience shows that making sure we understand your environment before we arrive on site maximizes the effectiveness of our work.

Once our pre-requisites are signed off we arrange the on site element of the quick start.

  • Server hardware available
  • Software requirements met
  • Directory integration considerations addressed
  • New or additional user accounts created
  • Upgrade issues from WSS3.0 noted and understood
  • Complete Pre-requisite check list sign off by customer and Applicable

Duration

We expect to spend three consecutive days on-site, once the pre-requisites are signed off. Our report and your documentation is delivered the week following our visit.

Program of work

  • Guidance on SharePoint Foundation 2010 integration issues with existing Windows infrastructure
  • WSS 3.0 upgrade, if required
  • Assistance with the installation and configuration of SharePoint Foundation 2010 to the level of ‘out of box experience' on your own hardware
  • Choice of single server with built-in database or single server starter farm configuration
  • Introduction to your various stakeholders of the features of SharePoint Foundation 2010
